Today, travel is over a 7 billion dollar industry and sees no sight of retreating. In North America and Western Europe, half of all people will go on some leisure or personal vacations in the coming year.
This has also created a real boom in the travel industry for its agents. Agents are flocking to jobs in the travel industry as a source of a outstanding income in record numbers. Companies that work on commission are allowing an entirely new set of opportunities to people who love to travel and help others make their holiday dreams or routine getaways happen with ease and fun.
With all research and booking being done online, many travel companies have created virtual offices for all of their agents while creating huge incentives for agents to develop a professional sales team. This has been a real coup for the entrepreneur who is not only interested in servicing the travel customer, but is also looking to leverage his/her time by developing a sophisticated sales force.
It has been noted that as high as 20% of all agents in the travel industry already telecommute and work out of their home office planning casual to luxury trips and vacations. Many of these trips which were something only done by the wealthy can now be accessed by average people opening the doors for many who want to work explore a career in the travel industry.

As more and more people get a taste of high end luxury travel and travel further distances, companies are making this travel as easy as domestic excursions and are seeing a huge influx of revenue into their business, This certainly will continue to grow and give those who want to be entrepreneurs in this industry great hope and a bright future.
