Before you start to look at job sites you need to consider a more important issue for you - namely a visa (unless you are an EEA/EU passport holder)

It is not easy to obtain legal status which allows you to reside in Denmark (or any EU country), and applying for a work permit will mean your company having to apply on your behalf and it will only be granted (after time, money and effort) if it is proven that it is a position for which there is no-one in the EU/EEA that can fulfil this position. This means it needs to be a specalist job (Denmark calls this kind of position as being on a 'Positive list')

Travel degree graduates are very common in EU/EEA and indeed many are struggling to find even simple travel jobs in some countries. Secondly you would need Danish to be able to do such a position dealing with customers and immigration laws. Do you speak fluent Danish?

To show you that I am not just making this up, you really should read more on the official Danish immigration dept site. Here is the link to the Positive List for which I mentioned http://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-us/coming_to_dk/work/positivelist/positive_list_overview.htm

I urge you work for the travel agency for experience then open your own small business in travel. You can be your own boss and you can earn more if you know your trade. SBA can help for a first loan then you can get it start from there. Then you are on your way for a comfy salary and enjoy of being with the tourists and travel. Good luck.

World History, Geography, typing....... These 3 are important. I have worked for 4 different airlines in the last 25 years.. Use to be a good job with good pay.. Not anymore. They start you out B scale lower wages around $9 an hour and old senior people are grandfathered in at the higher rates... Airlines keep folding and you have to keep airline hopping.... Maybe a travel agency would be OK but its not that great anymore. It sounds glamorous, I know. I would recommend getting into the medical field. People will always get sick and you will always be employed. That is 25 years of hardship in the travel industry that is talking to you. I hate to see anyone walk in my shoes now a days.

hi,

With an marketing degree, you would be placed in marketing department of travel company, who's work would be to market its services and products, possibly sales, ad creations, new business development or on field work.

hope this is clear.

regards

It seems to me you are doing it the wrong way. Are you submitting resumes when you apply? Here are some tips for you to consider and think about. When the job hunt takes longer than expected, it's time to reevaluate. If you're not even getting an interview, then either your resume needs to be reevaluated or you've targeted the wrong field.

REVIEW YOUR RESUME
Are your skills clearly listed? Does it use action words to describe your expertise? Is it focused on the specific industry in which you are searching for a job? Is it formatted in a reader-friendly way, or do you have to search to pick out your strengths? Have a friend who knows how to write effective resumes evaluate it also.

HAVE YOU PICKED THE RIGHT INDUSTRY?
If you are looking for a job in the computer industry and your resume doesn't list any expertise in the field, then you're hunting for a job without any credentials. Before you spend additional time looking for a job in that field, reassess your goals. You must be able to demonstrate some transferable skills to get a job in an industry in which you have limited experience. Perhaps you need to develop additional skills first.

RECONNECT WITH YOUR NETWORKING CONTACTS

Call the people on your networking list. Tell them that your job search is stalled and ask for advice. Try to broaden the circle of contacts. Anyone you know, even if it is just a “good morning acquaintance” is part of your network. This is not the time to be shy.

CHECK YOUR INTERVIEWING SKILLS

If your resume gets you into the interview and you don’t get a callback for a second interview or offered a position, then reevaluate your interviewing skills.
Knowing the correct answers to tough questions and practice will improve your skills.

Peace and every blessing!

It seems that with all the trip planning available online that it would be difficult to be successful as a travel agent today. However if you are innovative and computer savvy you can probably find great ways to succeed at this.

It would be fun to investigate alternative opportunities that deal with travel. I have thought of a few things to do once I move into a different area of life, and I see an endless possibilities that have to do with personalized travel plans geared to specific groups of people.

Just as there are so many niches to build blogs and web sites for there are many niches of travel interest, where an expert guide, or host in a certain location, or niche, could find a fun way to earn an income.
